What about your shipping?

Presently, we only ship to the contiguous 48 states and to Alaska and Hawaii. There is one exception to this rule, it is permissible to ship tents to Canada. Please contact us for arrangements if shipment is directed to Canada.

Free Shipping on orders over $100.00 is limited to orders placed within the contiguous United States and is based on standard USPS shipping.

Orders are shipped within 1-2 business days after receipt of payment. We use USPS Priority Mail. Any need for faster shipping will be handled on an individual basis by contacting our customer support department at support@www.southernoutdoorspecialties.com.

Costs will be calculated at the time of the special request. You will receive an e-mail notification when your order is shipped.

What is your return policy?

Defective merchandise, unfortunately, is an inevitability. Fortunately, our customer service department is ready to assist you with your return. We honor a 60 day return policy for all defective goods. Contact us by calling 1-256-894-6305 or e-mail us at support@www.southernoutdoorspecialties.com.
Please Re-box the return in it's appropriate shipping carton. All original packaging, materials, accessories, manuals and booklets must be returned with the product. Please contact us with any questions. Your return will be processed with complete customer satisfaction. Note: If the item is not damaged and resalable, a 15% restocking fee will be charged.

I received my order, but it was damaged in transit. What do I do now?

Our 60 day money back guarantee is in effect. In case of goods damaged in transit, if possible, you should refuse the shipment from the carrier. If you later notice the damage, you will need to contact us and arrangements will be made to have the item returned and credited to you or replaced with another item.

How are back orders handled?

Any time we experience a back order, you are notified and you will have the ability to wait for the item to be replenished and shipped or you may cancel your order. In the event of a multiple item order, one or more items are back ordered, the in-stock items will be shipped within 1 to 2 business days and you will be notified of the back order. If you choose to wait on the back ordered item / items, they will be shipped to you without any additional shipping charge.

How do I find out more about Geocaching?

Southern Outdoor Specialties has an information page that describes the new Geocaching phenomenon. Just click on the "GeoCaching Information" page and you will find out the details of the sport as well as suggested additional sites to join clubs or find out more about it. We also recommend specific GeoCaching gear that can be found in our GeoCaching Gear category.

Do you take personal checks or cash?

We do not accept cash payments due to the risk of mailing currency. We do accept personal checks, however, the order will not be processed until the check clears. For that reason, we recommend using a credit card or PayPal for quicker and more efficient order processing.
